Attorney Registry Purpose
The purpose of this registry is to provide a courtesy to estate planning
professionals and also the general public who are looking for practicing
attorneys who claim to have experience and specific knowledge in their
respective states in the area of estate planning. This is done in
accordance with the mission of the National Institute of Certified
Estate Planners (NICEP) to provide everyone with the opportunity to have
a quality estate plan that is individually designed by qualified
professionals acting in the best interest of the consumer.
The Certified Estate Planners listed elsewhere on our website are
graduates of the NICEP, and educational and ethical standards are
required in order for them to maintain a good standing with us in regard
to their professional designation CEP® or MCEP®.
The attorneys listed below may or may not be graduates of the NICEP. In
fact, most have listed their services voluntarily, and for a nominal
annual fee. This simply means that in most cases, there is no current or
ongoing obligation between the attorneys listed in this registry and
the NICEP.
What does this mean for you? The information displayed about each
practitioner in this attorney registry is intended as an introductory
tool only. Consequently, you must perform the final review of any
attorney listed on this site.
As the NICEP promotes a professional team approach to estate planning,
consumers consulting this registry are encouraged to first contact a CEP®
in your area, which can also be found at this site under "Find
a Certified Estate Planner.”
Estate Planning Attorneys wishing to be listed on this registry may
contact the NICEP corporate office at 1-877-77NICEP, or submit this
Attorney Registry Application.
